Freo have topped up from other clubs sacrificing early draft picks in recent years. Tarrant, Solomon, both Carr's, Black, Bell, Cook, Farmer, Headland, McPharlin. That's almost half of their best 22 from other clubs. If they win the flag in the next year or two then it'll be worth it but it could bite them back on the bum long term if they don't.
Sure but they've also got R. Murphy, Peake, Sandilands, Johnson, Mundy etc.
Freo have a good mix and will give the premiership a real shake this year or next.t.
I totally agree Magic that Freo have got a good mix now. I just think their premiership window is narrow compared to other sides like the Eagles and Dogs because the majority of the imported dockers will only have a few seasons left and they won't have the quality kids coming through to replace them because they gave up all their early draft picks in recent drafts to get ready made imports. They're going to have to find a few WA kids via their rookie list to stay up the top once those older guys have retired.
