Both played off the half back flank.

JON was on Murphy (who as a very distinct limp when he is not running btw) most of the day and I was pleased with his game. Considering he hasn't trained much over the summer he is coming a long very well. Disposal by foot let him down a couple of times as did his decision making - I think he's been told to take them on at every opportunity and at times it gets him into trouble. But with young players that's nothing use better decision making will come with experience

Coburg seem to be playing a play on all the time run and carry type of game and it really suits JON. I thought he was one of Coburg's best. They were terribly undermanned compared to Werribee. But like the previous week it was only one poor quarter that cost them.

As for Casserley I have to say I didn't really notice him at all. I don't think he got much of the ball and I probably noticed him more when he was running off the backline trying to make position. Certainly was moving OK which was pleasing.

Thanks WP. Good news about JON given he's hardly done a preseason. Cass will be fine. He just needs a injury-free run this year from now on to get games into him.

Coburg are missing a big strong forward/CHF to straighten them up. They always have to play with a mosquito forward line and try to outrun teams.
