They tried to get Gary March on the show tonight.
Gary March apparently said he would not appear as long as Grant Thomas was on the show. 

Grant said March has been unimpressive in all this.
Caro thinks otherwise.

The Herald Sun website still got the message wrong at 12:18 regarding Terry claiming he had coached his last game at the club.

Brief summary....

* Terry is angry tonight when Caro contacted him. He thought today's media conference would end the media hyperbole. However some journos from the Herald-Sun tonight tried to pay Kerryn his wife off for a story and then stalked and approached his kids at their home while he and Kerryn were out at dinner.

* Smorgan happy with Terry and has accepted the apology unreservedly. Takes a man to admit you were wrong and Terry is welcome back there.

* Article in the Age tomorrow about the Terry/Sydney story.

* Caro said a coaching subcommittee is being/has been formed to choose our next coach.

* Thomas didn't think a career coach would see us as appealing given the way we've handled things.

* Lyon said we should just go out and get the best coach.

* Caro would go with a young coach. An experienced coach like Malthouse or Williams would be costly. The club still has a $3.5m debt and instead of forking out $700k minimum for such a experienced coach the money would be better spent in other areas.

* Thomas said we need a coach who knows what to do from the start. You can't have someone who needs 2-3 years learning on the job.

* Herald-Sun website got it wrong again at 12:18 saying Terry had coached his last game.

* March wouldn't come on the show with Thomas there. Thomas said there's no issue he just thinks March has been unimpressive.

* Thomas said it would get interesting with a caretaker coach if the club suddenly and bizarrely won something like the next 12 games and made a Preliminary Final. Caro said he'd probably get the job. Hutchy said we've got a soft draw in the second half of the year.

* They spent about a 10 secs on Cuz and most of that was Caro asking Lyon why it's called the "bird" and Lyon not knowing either.

The club offered Rawlings as a caretaker coach at the meeting at Marchs office 2 weeks ago. Only as a caretaker though

Went into my newsagent earlier this week and he asked how I thought Campbell would go and I told him I had it on good authority that Rawlings would get the job and they all laughed.

Today when I went in they gave me a free copy of the Financial Review (my reading of choice) and were bowing as I left
