He should stay on the board at least until the end of 2008.
He was voted onto it by the majority of members. The conflict of interest was there when he was elected so it would be undemocratic if he was removed now because of it. The members can vote him off or retain him when he is up for election again.

So we have Miller, Armstrong, and someone else 'managing' the football side of things, whatever that entails.

IMO you need ONE person doing this job. They act as conduit between the coach, the board and the recruiting team. They ask the coach what he thinks he needs to win more games of footy, makes sure that it is in line with the direction the list is going and then tells the recruiting team to execute.

Too many cooks IMO. Get another full-time coach and another full-time recruiter.

As I have said all along, the place is a joke.
Would keep Armstrong well away from any footy matters, nice bloke, no idea.
Would think if the club wants to go anywhere in the future that this is the tip of the iceberg

i guess if it was a secret they would not have been seen! i am pretty sure if teh meeting was meant to be "secret", they would have had it in a place where they would not have been noticed. just my opinion

There was a lot of debate when Miller was running for the board. Facts are now that he is unsackable. Members voted him on, members can only vote him off, and no sooner than end of 2008.

So we've only got ourseleves to blame. Cant blame the club for Greg Miller, and he will continue to influence things around the place behind the scenes, because as long as he is on the board, he can do whatever he wants.

Cameron is not the only lunchtime date. The usual rumor mill and unsubstantiated speculation mob is all about Sheedy wont come back unless Miller is out. And thats what makes us a joke club. Miller should be out because he has been a disaster. Nothing more

It's all bull poo folks.

You all carry on about board members and positions of so called importance within the club as though it matters.

Fact is,everything starts with good players = recruitment.

stuff the board and all the assholes who think their presence will "turn things around"

Fair dinkum, footy was a LOT MORE ENJOYABLE before we were fooled by the media into believing that
all the reat of the crap was actually news.

I wonder why we didn't go for Heath Scotland when he was available to be picked up - there was plenty of notice, and I know that we sent one of our best forward scouts to check him out  ;)

Wonder if the report was to go for him or leave him alone ??

And what does a meeting actually mean ?
You aren’t doing your'e job if you are not continually looking for ways to improve.
I would be dissapointed otherwise.

good point Ox, when we finally piece together a side that can win I reckon the off-field stuff will sort itself out

Do you mean recruiting-wise or in general?

In any case, that's a matter of opinion rather than a fact.

With the exit of Daniher at Melbourne, Camerons contract now has an escape clause.
