I think Meyer is the one that needs to show something. Out of the 5 we got in 2004 (Lids, Bling, Patto & Polo being the others) Meyer to me has been the most disappointing/frustrating
Thankfully no Fantastic Five talk this year.

I would hate to see Danny Meyer do well at another club, especially if it was an SA one  :banghead

That's what Weaver said on Bigfooty, he is a talented kid but needs a kick up the arse to make him realise the talent he is. Weaver reckons if we shop him around and no one takes him, it might be the thing he needs to start working hard.

Let's hope so bluey. It would be a waste of talent. Playing at HF you can't expect your teammates to always put the ball on a plate for you to show off that talent. Took Petts a few years to learn that too. It'll be interesting to see if Danny does better this weekend if Coburg has a good win.

I reckon Weaver has a point; problem is that if he was to be "shopped around" I reckon a SA based Club would snap him up

See your point there, but Weaver begs to differ, reckons that there wasn't any real interest in him by SA clubs on draft day.And seeing as he is yet to really do anything he can't see how things are different now.

Also, I reckon we are a real show to snap up Meesen in the PSD.

He is out of contract and would be desparate just to play AFL.

Chuck him a healthy 2-3 year contract and tell him he will be given every opportunity to play.

Also hear he was a Tiger supporter when he was young.

But we're considering wasting our PSD pick on Charman  :help.

10 weeks to save their careers
01 July 2007   Sunday Herald Sun
Jon Ralph

THE end-of-season broom is bearing down on the fringe dwellers at your AFL club. With less than half a season to go, can they avoid being swept out the door?

RICHMOND

Kent Kingsley is in the classic crunch-time position: perform or else.

Injuries and political pressure have conspired to put the heat on the Geelong cast-off, who is not the only Tiger in trouble.

Trent Knobel and Ray Hall have both had injury-plagued seasons, but if the Tigers get ruck prodigy Matthew Kreuzer will that be enough to force their hand on their back-up rucks?

wow, that's not a great deal of players to sweep away from the bottom team

Yep they just went for the obvious starting candidates with us. Knobel and Razor will probably retire due to chronic injury before getting the axe.

A reporter asked David King if Schulz has a big 8 weeks in front of him and King agreed. Nothing earth-shattering but only confirms Sarge is in the gun to show something or he is in trouble.

Yep but he needs to bring that work ethic to AFL level too on Sunday.
