Coburg just ran out of legs 2/3s the way through the 3rd quarter. Geelong just proved you need talls who don't get any shorter as the game goes along.

Cass was the best RFC player IMO. Rebounded well.
Connors was classy and finished with 3 goals but his direct opponent ended up being very effective for Geelong.
The rest were just like the whole team. Simply ran out of legs and went missing.

I guess the Burgers can still be positive if they can get Silvester back to replace Morgan and can pick from Jack, Jacko, McGuane, Hyde and Moore from Richmond. Like Richmond though Coburg don't have a second ruck to help out Ronaldson with no Gus or Knobel to help out.

Coburg plays Port Melbourne in the semi final next week (most likely next Sunday) at Port Melbourne. If we win we'll play Williamstown in a fortnight's time.

The other semi final is Sandringham vs North Ballarant. The winner plays Geelong.

taking on a professional trained club like Geelong with 12 AFL l;isted players in the side + the 4 rookie listed = 16 AFL players in total was a huge task & even though the Burgers ran out of legs they played some good football
sad to see morgan go down but no-one can complain about the effort put in by the burgers against that geelong outfit

Just ran out of legs in the last. Intensity was great in the 3rd quarter, then in the 4th it was non-existent.

Thought the umps butchered us all day, the inconsistency was appalling. (I felt I had to let them know all about it at half time as they came off, unforunately nothing changed in the second half).

Connors is going to be good, damn good. Reading of the play, movement, disposal, decision making, all good. I had him down for about 4 assists today.

Casserly is impressive also.

on a better playing arena like the Optus Oval geelong outfit will be very hard to beat
Unless they get some injuries in the senior side l cant see any team beating them
