Yep, I asked the question early in the last and they answered it.

Perhaps all the stuff coming out of the club lately hasn't been rubbish.

In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

Richmond’s Trent Cotchin could face dilemma with baby due in finals period

Herald-Sun
September 01, 2014

SEPTEMBER expectations have doubled for Richmond captain Trent Cotchin.

Cotchin and his wife Brooke could be faced with a dilemma with the couple’s little Tiger cub due late this month.

Saturday’s cliffhanger win over Sydney might almost have been enough to bring on early labour.

It’s not known what the plans are if there is a time clash between a Tigers final and the hospital.

Cotchin yesterday laughed at questions about what his plans might be should there be a timetable clash.

“I’ll get to that when hopefully it eventuates,” Cotchin said.

The 24-year-old married his long-time sweetheart in December.

Richmond players continued their long march to glory with a gentle stroll around MCG parklands yesterday.

But the group was well aware the next week will be no walk in the park.

Consistency in training and attitude is what the leadership team has asked of them to ensure yesterday’s stroll was not the last time they will be close-up to the ’G this year.

There was a grin on their faces as they rounded the stadium through Yarra Park but the players were keeping a lid on any hype that an at-times miserable season could have a fairytale finish.

“You ride the wave of the win. But we have a job to do,” Cotchin said.

“Now it’s our opportunity to grab it with both hands.

“So you’ve got to absolutely leave no stone unturned and give it everything you’ve got.”

The team made a low-key return to Punt Road Oval yesterday for an indoor recovery session and group reflection on their performance the night before.

Forward Jack Riewoldt said the playing group would be enjoying the victory but come today it would be time to “switch on” for the game against Port Adelaide.

He said that after the early-season 3-10 record he was “most proud” for the club’s supporters and thanked the fans who stuck by them.

“They probably didn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel,” Riewoldt said.

“Without their support we wouldn’t be where we are now.”

Cotchin said the focus would be to keep everything “as normal as possible”.

“Not a lot has changed for us in the last three months in regards to our training, our attitude,” he said.

“(We’re) trying not to change too much.

“We’ve got to make sure that what we’ve been doing in the past two, three months is exactly how we carry into a game against a quality opposition.”

Good player, tries hard, probably a nice guy too. Brave as well.

But just not tough enough to be captain IMO. Captain needs to be physical an influential a la Selwood.

Kid needs some bigger bodies around him too.
