He was hunting again. Back to mongrel Cotch.  :clapping

Along with his decision making and execution which was sharp and crisp.
It was awesome to watch.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Cotch post-game said it's hammy "awareness" and didn't seem too fussed about it.

That's different to what Balmey said at half-time who called it a minor hammy and not just awareness  :-\.

Tom Browne post-game reckons Cotch won't be seen for the rest of the H/A season. He said he spoke to the doctor and that the time out doubles with each injury to same hammy.

That sucks. Was on fire in Q1 too. Hope it’s short term.

UPDATE: Tigers unsure if injured skipper will be back before finals

RICHMOND is unsure if skipper Trent Cotchin will be back before the finals after suffering another hamstring injury on Friday night.

The Tigers skipper left the field midway through the first term of the soggy MCG contest against Collingwood and spent the last 10 minutes of the quarter on the interchange bench.

After the quarter-time huddle, Cotchin embraced coach Damien Hardwick with a hug before returning to the bench and removing his playing jumper and replacing it with a Tigers jacket.

The premiership captain has been restricted to 10 games this season due to two hamstring issues, and the club acknowledged it is a worry with the finals series looming.

Hardwick said the Tigers are hoping he has avoided any serious damage, in what was the only sour point of their strong win over the Magpies.

"It's disappointing, he's got a little bit of a tweak. We're not too sure of the extent of it, but it's his support leg when he was kicking. We're hoping it will be on the minor side but once again he's had the two incidents this year," Hardwick said post-game.

"It's disappointing to lose players, and Collingwood lost a couple too, so losing players this time of the year is always tough."

Richmond's win puts it into the top-four on the ladder with four games to go, and then the bye after round 23, before the first week of the finals.

Hardwick said it was too early to tell if Cotchin will feature again before September.

"I'm not too sure. We don't know the significance of the injury," he said.

Hardwick's comments followed those by Richmond football boss Neil Balme, who ruled out Cotchin for next week's clash with Melbourne.

"(It's) not too bad," Balme said during the game.

"I think he'll miss a bit."

Barometer: Your club’s injury list, Collingwood deletes Trent Cotchin tweet

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin faces another frustrating stint on the sidelines after suffering a third hamstring issue this year against Collingwood at the MCG.

And the Magpies have copped it from angry fans after tweeting about Cotchin’s injury.

Most of the pre-game talk had been on whether Cotchin would be able to play, given his wife Brooke is due to give birth to the couple’s third child.

When he went off 19 minutes into the opening term and went down the players’ race with the club doctor, it was assumed he had received a call from home.

But that wasn’t the case, and when he re-emerged just after quarter-time he had the jacket around him with confirmation that he had hamstring issues yet again.

After Richmond kicked the first goal of the second quarter, Collingwood’s official Twitter tweeted: “Lambert goals for the Tigers. The upside ... Cotchin is out of the game with a hammy problem.”

The tweet came under fire and was later deleted.

Tigers coach Damien Hardwick said scans this week would reveal the severity of Cotchin’s injury, but the fact he helped chair 200-gamer Bachar Houli off the field after the match raised hopes it wasn’t serious.

“It’s disappointing,” Tigers coach Damien Hardwick said. “He got a little bit of a tweak ... we are hoping that it is at the minor end.

“Once again he has had two (other issues). It is such a disappointing part of the game when you lose players ... losing players at this time of the year is always tough

“We don’t know the significant of the injury yet.”

    Hi @CollingwoodFC
    This tweet was rubbish.

The downside...we had to read this tweet. A Brownlow Medalist, and Premiership Captain, and you celebrate his injury?!

Triple M medical expert Dr Rohan White said the club hoped it was on the minor end of the scale.

“He’ll get a scan ... you would think that with his history that he would miss a couple of weeks at least,” White said.

Cotchin missed two months of football with a serious hamstring issue earlier in the year then returned for two months before having some more soreness in the same area.

He returned against St Kilda in Round 15 and Friday night’s match was his fifth game back, but he is likely to be back on the sidelines for a period.

Meh, typical social media over reaction

He did get injured and it was an advantage to the Pies to have him out of the game

I hope it's Brooke who had the baby, not Cotch. Would have been murder on his hammy.  :rollin
