Great game from cotchin. Yes he  has struggled a bit this year but when really needed he showed why he has been such a good player over the entire career.

Was almost/probably  our best this game and as a leader stood up when really needed.

Totally agree. His hardness at the contest was outstanding.

Julian de Stoop on SEN this arvo said Cotch has a standard hammy which for Trent would be 3-4 weeks out.

----------------------------------------------------------

Trent Cotchin's hamstring strain is very much at the minor end of the scale, but given his history it's hard to see him getting back within a month. Did one last year, multiple strains in 2019 and another in 2018.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Scans have shown the strain is a “medium-term” injury, backing coach Damien Hardwick’s initial assertion that Cotchin was set to miss “some weeks”. Considering his history of soft-tissue injuries, this could mean the Tigers take a particularly cautious attitude and have him sidelined for a month.

Cotch interviewed on 9news tonight: https://twitter.com/9NewsMelb/status/1389140497977991169

These injuries have been different actions in different places. Soft tissue injuries haven't been his history until later in his career. Blames hammies on his age, the brutal nature of the game, and running hunched over.

Still so valuable.

People calling for him to retire are dreaming!

Huge, him and Prestia. Have missed his maturity in the midfield do badly.

We need to find replacement inside grunt. Graham alone won't cut it.

Still so valuable.

I think I said end of the year. Still not sold on another contract yet.

Ball clearly hit the point of his boot before the ground.... :shh

No problem with it being paid holding the ball

Same.

He had prior, plenty of prior, needed to go 1st option didn't got pinged. It was poor on Cotchin's part

Thought the skipper was great yesterday. Provided what we were lacking along with Prestia and Bolton.

Maybe so but he was pinged for incorrect disposal  - which it wasn't. :shh

Debatable in live action .. still no problem at all with a free kick against .. they don’t have the benefit of slow motion to see if it clipped his toe buy a mm as it hits the ground the same time

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin could be a shock withdrawal from Saturday night’s Dreamtime game after his daughter was taken to hospital.
