Short is out of there now and back in defense.

I think it's obvious:

Taranto/Hopper
Cotchin/Prestia
Bolton/Martin

So you have named our best 6 onballers. Cotchin continues to be comfortably in that top 6 when we play him as a mid. Problems arise when we play blokes in other roles trying to fit them into the team including Cotchin and Dusty this year. Goes without saying there are what 6  or so other mids at least needing a game and far too often we dont play em as mids but in other roles taking games away from kids who are specialists in those roles.

It has not just been a problem this year either.

Imo we have taken  a course, not just Hardwick but McQualter as well  where nothing but a flag will suffice with the direction we have taken in this.

Just trying to work out the problem here.

Champ needs a rest to recover and recharge the batteries.
The club that keeps giving.

Going by commentary on yesterdays game Reckon 4 of his last 5 have been ordinary.Would give him a rest. Time to give another lets say Sonsie or god forbid Dow a decent game.

That won't happen though they will rush Short back in for him. The kids can rot away in the two's.

Came across this fact today, @tcotchin9 will break record for games played in the number 9 guernsey this weekend.

The former @Richmond_FC skipper is currently tied on 305 with Hawks legend Shane Crawford.

McQualter said in his presser that Cotch won't play tomorrow night. 5 day break and he is a bit sore. Will play the following week against the Saints.

He has and is a champion, leader , player and person. A three time premiership captain and a Brownlow medalist!
I hope he coaches at Richmond on day.
Best wishes in anything he does

Certainly one of the all time greats. What a leader and player and how lucky were we to have him :clapping
