The reason Norf always beat us is because they always have a milestone game when they play us! They even had one on the weekend!

I remember the Jason McCartney tribute match like it was yesterday

I know. Couldn't get a game even though he was playing VFL and they wheeled him out for the Richmond match of all games

It is their GF! Always will be!

C'mon.
If you were north and their was any reason to bring a player in for milestone game which team would you want to play in the last 10 years?

Of coarse your going to pick the Tigers.
Always a good crowd and a gauranteed win.

We had an opportunity to end that rubbish last week but we didn't even show up...AGAIN!

Hopefully the boys want to win for their captain and show that we are miles infront of theses newbies.

It shouldn't be a close game and it should be a percentage booster for us.  We need to recoup our lost percentage from last weekends debacle.
The club that keeps giving.

I reckon opposition clubs will always try to pull the milestone hoodoo on us. We'd be shaky even if they threw out Penny the Physio massaging her 200th Gluteus.

Can you imagine the Banner "Well done Penny on your 200th Gluteus Maximus. When the Penny Drops, Everyone has a crack!"  :P

true.

Is it just me or is he sounding a little nervous and not looking as comfortable in the media these days? Certain Ive picked up a quiver in his voice here and there like he's nervous in recent times.

The pressure to backup week in week out and be the public voice of the footy club starting to take its toll?

or maybe Im looking for excuses when in actrual fact its probably just poo form...

Good luck T, have a big one

He's certainly not the 2012 Cotchin but I don't think we should be that surprised.

He had an outstanding season last year, maybe over achieved, was going to be a challenge to back it up. Was given captaincy, around the time expectations of the biggest club in the competition is moving towards succeeding. Was quoted equal 2nd favourite for the Brownlow before Round 1.

I don't care who you are or how good you are, its not surprising if all of that is before you and you aren't 'champion status' He's captained us to a 10 and 5 position on the ladder. He's learning to deal with media commitments, its a big ask, learnt a harsh lesson when he joked about retiring after 1 flag. Think he's been a bit cautious since that.

Compare his stats from this year and last year they aren't that different.

2012 vs 2013

Disposals: 27.5 vs 25.6 (Down by 1.9 possessions a game)
Marks: 4.2 vs 3.9 (Down by 0.3 marks a game)
Tackles: 4.9 vs 3.2 (Down by 1.7 tackles a game)
Goals: 1.0 vs 0.2 (Down by 0.8 goals a game)

Add the fact in that he played games slightly injured and possibly still is carrying a knee niggle.
Compare his numbers between 2011 and 2013 and he's up in all areas except goals.

Think we are very harsh on Cotchin. Yes he's not playing like he did in his standout, 2nd in the Brownlow season. But for a guy who has played 100 games, captaining his first season, trying to back up a great year last year. I think he's going fine... Cut the lad some slack.
Go Tigers!

His last couple of games have been a significant improvement, watching a game you'd probably come to realise that ::)

So lets put his poxy 2013 down to the Brownlow blues....considering he and Mitchell actually won it.
Caracella and Balmey.
