Trent Cotchin is emerging as a legitimate Brownlow medal contender this year. In and under clearance machines like Cotch don't always turn the umpys on (what the hell was that holding the ball against Cotch in the 4th, no one even tackled him!) but it's pretty hard not to notice the sheer talent.

What the hell was that holding the ball against Cotch in the 4th, no one even tackled him!

I reckon it was Celebrity Umpiring at its finest!

"Umps working overtime to restore normality to the Universe.  Essendon must be a better side than Richmond, therefore Richmond can't win, therefore I better pluck some free kicks from the air to restore the normal course of events" - Someone on here has said that before and it is one of the basic facts of footy as long as Geishen is the maggot's coach - Apologies for not remembering who said it first.

Yeah its a great call. Superb Post has happened for years.

It's so obvious when this happens, also when a team is 10+ goals down and they string a few together they get the rub of the green "Restoring normailty, the comeback is always entertaining spectible it's what fans want to see.."

Also the square up happened a fair bit last night. Leroy Jetta took a pretty obvious mark that wasn't awarded. Crowd weren't happy. Stoppage occured, Ump picked out probably the softest free as he knew he made a mistake. Would prefer the ump to see the replay and go hang on that's a mark, apologies Leeroy take your kick.
Go Tigers!

Trent Cotchin after the swans game

He missed a quick pick up and fast onto the boot goal that would have got Richmond pretty close in the last. After the game when everyone had cleared out he went back out in the rain still geared up and practiced kicking that goal.
