YOU think it's a bad year for Richmond? What about the weekend? Lance "Buddy" Franklin and Jarryd Roughead, whom the Tigers overlooked in that controversial national draft, kick 10 goals between them as Hawthorn wins its first final since 2001. Franklin's matchwinner narrowly pips (former Tiger) Jason Torney's earlier bomb for Adelaide. David Rodan (traded by Richmond) is a fine contributor again for Port Adelaide in its qualifying final win over West Coast in Adelaide, and Travis Cloke (son of former Tiger David) boots three for Collingwood in its win over Sydney, while Brad Ottens (traded by Richmond) leads Geelong's ruck division in a win over the Kangaroos. Meanwhile, the likes of Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls (a No. 8 pick), Andrew Krakouer, Daniel Jackson, Matt White and Jack Riewoldt are going around for Coburg in a VFL final. Tiger supporters in Sporting Life's vicinity are still grumbling.

Chris Judd has a brownlow and premiership, Daniel Chick also has a premiership medallion and Hawthorn's youngsters finished 2nd last in the VFL or thereabouts. Anyone can write meaningless garbage like that. To pick out Jack in his first year who was playing seniors late in the year shows how desperate Blake was for a topic  :stupid. Jacko was a latish pick and playing seniors too. Whitey was a PSD pick. It's not hard to be a footy journo these days  ::).

yep, just go and try and find a journo with anything meaningful to say  ::)
