Did you mean the National draft Mopsy?
Yes I do depending upon the position you finish on the ladder.
Last year we finished ninth and took 3. This year with the xtra picks possibly four under the circumstances.

There is no value in judging young players ability without a fair trial at AFL level some take  to come good as in the case of Pettifer,Jackson and now Moore showing promise.

We train the likes of Fiora & Rodan, get rid of them and then they come back to bite you on the bumm.

The 2005 draft picks are an example of why I agree with what Craig thinks in that regard

Last year we picked up 6 kids but yeah in 2005 we only took three kids. Four if you include Matty White in the PSD. IMO just using three picks in any draft is a poor strategy. You're then relying on all three kids making it which is unlikely and risky.

Fiora was no loss. We still have a abundance of flankers and we gained Simmo from the trade. Whereas the disappointing thing about Rodan is we didn't get anything in return for him because of his knee.

If we keep four picks inside the top 35 this year then IMO we'll use them all on kids. The priority is/was all important. It'll be the 5th pick where we have to decide whether to pick up another kid late in a shallow draft or take a Silvester.

Ken McGregor has told the Crows he wants to be traded.

Speaking of Fiora he's signed a new 2-year deal with the Saints.

OP can be overcome and managed, Judd needs to be rested. You could almost give him until January off ... and then manage him over the next 12 months.

true, it just annoys me that as a club we should be in the race here, but really at then end of the day i dont think we have a hope in hell.

mind you i believe we should stick to our plan.

We could be seriously involved in something big come trade week or on the other hand we could be just bluffing and just trying to stuff up other clubs by pushing up the price and cost of these players as well as hoping someone slips through the net to the PSD for "free".

Unfortunantely West Coast will not want to lose Judd for nothing hence Carlton will have the frontrunning position due to Sugar Daddy Pratt and his money. This will enable them to snare him. Our only real hope is W Coast not accepting any deals or trying to convince him to stay and I get the feeling that the Eagles do not want to lose an elite midfielder like Judd for nothing and go down the path Port did with Nick Stevens by playing hardball.
Time to be realistic about this and possibly move on to other available players that we may be able to receive through the PSD.
That is not to say that I personally do not want him at Punt Rd next year as like all RFC fans we do but alot of water has to pass under the bridge. :pray

Lets go outside the square here for a second.
If Judd wanted to come home and within reason money wasn't an object, would not he prefer the club he barracked for as a kid.

If we were smart we could get Melbourne and Judd together and if WCE play hardball to hard for the dees, Juddy could slip though to the PSD and we have a few more picks and a ready made player from them for our PSD pick.

Or we could reneg on the deal once he is though and take him for nothing  :rollin
