latest news is that if the blues dont cough up pick 1, judd is heading to richmond

fact :thumbsup

bookmark this post ;)

So it should cost those tanking bastards pick 1. Throw in pick 3 to boot.

Judd is a gun & I hope the Weagles stick to theirs.

Otherwise welcome to Richmond Chris Judd. 8)

i think the whole salary cap issues is a non issue at punt road because as i look down the list outside of N.Brown no other player would be on a good pay packet.
i say we have plenty of cash up our sleeve dont worry about that..

On top of Judd, Carlton are also chasing after out of contract Saint Steven Baker. They also chased Matt Maguire.

The Saints have re-signed Baker. A PM told me Milne is staying at the Saints as well.

From today's Age and Australian ...

Darren Jolly has re-signed with the Swans on a 4-year deal. We were one of six clubs who showed interested in him but he's off the market.

There's expected to be a frenzy over ruckmen until the end of trade week. Ben Hudson, John Meesen, Cameron Wood plus either Steven King or Mark Blake up for grabs. St Kilda is interested in King.

There's also been a flood of interested for Hawk forward Tim Boyle who is contracted. The Australian says 6 clubs are interested but didn't name them. The Hawks are looking to upgrade their first pick as well as find a key defender.

The Roos have looked for buyers for Leigh Brown (contracted) but have had no takers. Similarly there's been no takers for Demon Travis Johnstone.

Jolly 4 years! :o

Geez if you were a tall youngster, you'd be looking to become a ruckman in the AFL.
Seems to be a genuine lack of quality rucks around and I'd imagine those that are decent are getting well rewarded financially.

Yep these long-term contracts seem to becoming more common for ruckmen. 4-years is probably the only way Jolly was going to stay in Sydney.
