Day 1 summary of trade week

* Hudson is seeking a move to the Western Bulldogs, with the Crows wanting the Bulldogs' second round draft pick (No.22) in return, but the `Dogs are unwilling to give that up.

* Adelaide want Melbourne's second round choice (No.21) for Meesen, but the Demons have only offered their third round pick (No.37).

* Brisbane coach Leigh Matthews said several clubs had inquired about Wood, but so far had not offered anything that interested the Lions.

* Sydney expect to secure Adelaide running defender Martin Mattner, possibly in return for their second round pick (No.28)

* The Swans are also keen to acquire Melbourne key position player Brad Miller.

* Hawthorn have opened the door to negotiating on key forward Tim Boyle, after receiving some inquiries, but player personnel manager Chris Pelchen said they would not be "pushing anyone out the door".

* Melbourne have received little interest in silky midfielder Travis Johnstone, despite floating his name in discussions.

* The Bulldogs have expressed interest in Port Adelaide key forward Damon White, but the Power say they expect to keep him.

* Essendon coach Matthew Knights says the Bombers have received some expressions of interest in big man Kepler Bradley and utility Mark Johnson.

More Day 1 trade talk...

* Kangaroos are after out of contract Lion Troy Selwood.

* The Roos have also offered a 3rd or 4th round pick for Bulldog Sam Power.

* Carlton and Freo have shown an interest Lion Richard Hadley, who is out of contract.

* Melbourne have put both Travis Johnstone and Nathan Carroll up for trade.

* Port's Brad Symes may also be on the move.

* Geelong indicated yesterday that they are prepared to discuss Charlie Gardiner, Henry Playfair and Kane Tenace.

* Mitch Hahn remains out of contract at Whitten Oval and is considering a three-year offer. It is understood the Brisbane Lions have shown interest, but the tough forward is expected to stay put.

* Hawthorn has put a second-round price on the head of forward Tim Boyle.

*  Essendon's Kepler Bradley, 21, has what looks to be a prohibitive first-round price attached to his future, with Essendon, who drafted him three years ago with pick six, maintaining that nothing less than a late first-round selection will enable him to move.

* Wingman Ricky Dyson received strong interest, while veteran defender Mark Johnson was being linked with Port Adelaide and Fremantle.

* The Dockers, who fielded interest in forward Ryan Murphy and Byron Schammer, are one of the clubs interested in Dyson.

Day 2 summary of trade week

* Carlton and Hawthorn are thinking swapping Bret Thorton and Tim Boyle.

* St Kilda has shown interest in Steven King for their pick 26.

* Cameron Wood seems destined for Collingwood, in exchange for the Magpies' first-round selection, pick 14, which the Lions may on-trade to Melbourne for midfielder Travis Johnstone.

* Dockers like Mark Johnson at the right price and fellow Bomber Ricky Dyson.

* Several clubs seeking versatile forward Ryan Murphy.

* Bombers want a late first round pick for Bradley. They will deal Bradley in exchange for the Kangaroos' second-round selection, No. 32, or Fremantle's second-round selection, No. 24. A third-round selection is more likely.

The Blues seem to think O'hAilpin and Jake Edwards can hold down their key defensive posts or least are better options than Thorton. If they get any injuries they'll be stuffed.
