Is this year Miller's make or break year?
« on: October 06, 2007, 08:56:01 AM »
I feel that this year is make or break for Miller.

It is time for him to step up to the plate and hit a home run.

He always talks the talk but now it is time for him to walk the walk.

He doesnt have to land Judd to do this but we MUST get a decent player as part of the PSD.

Listening to the radio, Miller also appears to still be the spokesman in relation to our drafting also.

I know we have Francis Jackson but Miller still has a huge say and he must bring home the bacon this year or its time to go.

I'd rather he do nothing than give up a good pick for a fringe player during trade week especially to just play families. As for the PSD it doesn't look too promising so far as far as decent out of contract players  :-\.

Hooper walked out on the Lions for a while because his heart wasn't in footy so I wouldn't go near him. Both are the type of players we desperately need.

the good news is that it is becoming more and more likely every day that Judd may enter the pre-season draft. :thumbsup

We're still only a very outside chance but yep Miller has done well so far. When the Blues suggested they'd screw the Eagles doing a PSD deal with us, we sided with the Eagles. Got the Eagles and Blues hating each other more and more by the day. Swann's overconfidence and cockiness is helping too.

that's all  ;D

The above is the main reason I'd love to nail Judd - absolutely disgusting the way Carlton and Swann in particular are carrying on.

The deal aint done until it is Judd is a player that is subject to trade week who will end up at the Club that does the best deal with the WCE.

Does anybody remember one T Lockett who wanted to come to Richmond but ended up at Sydney  ;)

hooper is a player who can replace a krakouer, so yeah i see a place for him in the side. Morton is another hff/wing type, had a good junior record who knows maybe he'll lift like Polak. Together its a 4/10 result. Id suggest Greg needs more than say a Hooper Morton duo. He needs to get a big name and he needs a ruckman who can assist Simmonds.

I do WP and I am still waiting for him. That day in 1994 I will never forget for that brief moment drooling over a fwd line of Richo and Plugger.

Well in afew short hours we move into the official trade season. The time has come to get some positives for Richmond. If we only get bits and pieces like Hooper and Morton then for me that would be a fail for the football department. Its now or never for some of them. Lets hope they can deliver this time.
