Just had it installed recently, how come it takes so long to complete a scan. Is that normal?

Yeah thats normal but I assume its on it scheduled daily scan or something?

Its not necessary to do it that often.

How long does it take.

I have nearly 200 thousand files for a complete scan on one of my pc's and that takes well over an hour

I have Nortons as well which came "free" with my laptop and AVG takes no longer than that to complete a scan.
