we didn't have griff in the side today because in the games he played this year he looked as out of place as i would in a swimsuit competition.

I know i've said it before, but there comes a time in the contest when you have to concentrate on the ball and simply back yourself to beat your opponent.

Of bigger backmen seem to spend too much time concentrating on their opponent, who are actually watching the ball and positioning themselves appropriately, and thus find themselves out of position too often,
Griff has played only one game in the seniors. I thought he was stiff to be dropped too. If you drop him for being towelled up then Rance should be dropped too!
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

one or two?
anyway that is splitting hairs, and it is hard to argue against your point.

Bottom line is that neither can take the big quality forwards. Rance i dont think ever will capable of that, and griffiths just cant ATM.

I for one like the idea of griffiths holding down a key back postion, but he just looked so far out of his depth this year ...... seems to have gone backwards. perhaps it is the coaching?

And my thoughts than your thoughts."

To split hairs it was only one. You really sink someone's confidence when you drop a guy after one game. He had the most 1%s in that game too!

if dropping a bloke back to the seconds sinks his confidence then he doesnt have the fortitude to take you where you want to go.

as i said, i want him to succeed as a backman, but he just has looked out of his depth this year in the games i have seen( pre season game included) , which is opposite to what i saw last year. he may not have set the world on fire, but at least he looked comfortable.

sometimes young players need to go down a level because their confidence is already shot?

geez the way the ball was coming into their forward
didn't help the bloke.

as the coach explained it started further up the ground.

Issue Rance has is that against Cloke he couldn't reach the ball. Terrible match-up but by sounds of what WP said he's the one who asked for it.

You are 10 times worse regarding your thoughts on Rance and this club than I ever was about Edwards....

LETS BE REAL, HE WILL BE IN NEXT WEEK, HARDWICK HAS ALREADY SAID RANCE WILL BOUNCE BACK!!!!

We all know what you think, thanks, now leave it alone!!!!
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

The things I have noticed this year regarding Rance is that his positioning hasn't been the best.He 's caught sometimes to far behind his man and not close enough. The other issue to is that he try's to punchthe ball and gets no way near it.

There are not many backman that can stop Cloke when the teams midfield is getting pumped, like our whole team Rance was really only pumped in the third.
