That's why you pay your recruiters the big bucks (or should be). It's up to them to find the gems so you can be successful but not disadvantaged at draft time. VERY important job. FJ and CC will make an awesome team I think. Fingers crossed.

You know its true that there is a song for every occasion and what could be more apt than this tune for a parting Jackstar

"Leaving on a Jet Plane"  :lol

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

But isn't the draft in 2008 supposed to be stronger ???

If so a climb up the ladder will still get us decent picks :thumbsup

I would love us to make the finals (stranger things have happened in footy) in 2008 especially having stuck by our youth policy (I think I'm not the only one who sees that's what we've been doing :P) Give me 8th, 1 final and draft pick 9 and I reckon we win  ;D

True WP, stranger things can happen in footy and it would be great if we could surprise next year. Since 1994 there's always been one side that rises out of nowhere (Port this year) and another that falls dramatically (Dees this year). Though we would need to be very lucky injury-wise with full seasons from Simmo, Browny, Foley, Thursty, Lids at the very least to get anywhere near the top 8 IMO. With still such a young side and list you'd expect us to be inconsistent. If we can have a year like Brisbane did this year then that would be seen as genuine improvement and a step in the right direction for our youngsters IMV.

IMHO, still think that the Tigers need another development year in 08 before going anywhere near challenging for finals.  Would be happy to be proven wrong.

The top 5 (Richo, Simmo, Bowdo, Johnno, Browno) on the list are OK, but thereafter the developing youngsters do not have the body maturity and are just too inconsistent.
