Nine's not the one for Ray Martin
Herald-Sun | Fiona Connolly and Marcus Casey | February 08, 2008

RAY Martin last night quit Channel 9 after 30 years as one of the network's biggest stars.

Sources said a simmering feud with management led to a final blow-up with network boss David Gyngell this week.

Angry over plans to move the current affairs program Sunday from 9am to a 7.30am timeslot and to dumb down its content, Martin called it quits just days before he was due back on air.

Good.
No longer have to listen to his inane cricket commentary.

Martin jumped the shark 10 years ago.
