Pies followed closely by the Blues on the hate scale. Saints and Hawks next because of their supporters. Bomber fans haven't had much to be smug about to be annoying and are jumping ship to the blues lol :wallywink.

the pies done even come close to my hatred for the blues

TM is on the happy pills lol. 50 points! We're not playing Collingwood you know  ;)

Would the AFL care to explain why we are the away team again after it was a Carlton's home game in round 1 last year  ::).
Propping up the bank accounts again of the poorly managed clubs :shh
:lol

If it's money Carlton need then the AFL should have made a financial transaction the Blues are use to like a brown paper bag full of cash under the desk.

Lack of big men exposes Carlton
By Greg Denham
The Australian
March 17, 2008

... the Blues will start the season against Richmond at the MCG well below full strength.

The Blues will be particularly vulnerable in the ruck against Tigers No.1 ruckman Troy Simmonds, as they are set to be down three big men.

With No.1 draft pick Matthew Kreuzer in doubt with a hip injury, and the absence of Cain Ackland and Shaun Hampson, the Blues' only recognised ruckman is Cameron Cloke, and he has not played since a shoulder reconstruction after round six last year.

The long-awaited senior debut of the talented Kreuzer may be postponed for a week after he strained his hip at a closed training session.

Hampson, the Blues' tallest ruckman at 201 centimetres, had come on in leaps and bounds since playing in the final two rounds last season, but he underwent a knee arthroscope to remove bone chips and will miss at least the opening round.

Ackland had a shoulder reconstruction in the off-season and is unlikely to be considered for another month.

Finding a back-up ruckman for Cloke against the Tigers will be high on Carlton's agenda in this week's lead-up.

The Blues' main two options could be Irish defender Setanta O'hAilpin or rookie Sam Jacobs. Jacobs would have to be upgraded as a replacement for Andrew Walker, who will miss the first three months because of shoulder surgery.

While Nick Stevens is considered a certain starter despite a minor neck problem a fortnight ago, the Blues will also be without Brad Fisher (thumb), Adam Bentick (groin), and Clinton Benjamin (groin).

Richmond expects Graham Polak (heel) to be available, but Jay Schulz (fractured ribs) remains unlikely.

Looks like their ruck division is down to Cameron Cloke and maybe a rookie since Hampson and Asanke O'hailpin, as expected wont be back.

If we can get the advantage from our taps 40+ should be on the cards.  :pray

Wow, just looked at 40+, Would be a $8500 return.  Very tidy.

no fev??
Yeah probably wishful thinking knowing the Blues and their stuff the rules attitude but if Fev is suspended TM's looking at a nice little profit for himself. The Blues forward line is already thin with Waite needed to play in defence and Fisher out injured.

Talking to a mate yesterday and he does not expect much from the season. Me being forever the optimist reckons we could nail 8-10 depending on a bit of luck.

The one thing we do agree on is that this game is our season, we must beat this filth, 2 poo sides - yep, still a huge game yep.

To walk away from this game with a win, will be akin to popping a methane gas filled ballon the size of Jupiter.

Sick of all this Carltank this, Judd that - time to end it on Thursday Tigers.
