Why I Dislike The Media

For those that hadn't noticed, I have a healthy level of dislike/distrust for many in the media with their ill-thought out and poorly researched tomes.  There is an article in today's Courier Mail about the expansion plans of Rugby League, AFL and Rugby Union that sums it up perfectly.  I have posted a link to the full article below but here are the paragraphs that wound me up:

"The AFL has too many clubs in Melbourne. While we hear all day about the sponsorship wonder that is Collingwood, Demetriou doesn't tell us too much about the financial disaster that surrounds the Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn and Richmond.

These clubs are stuffed. Even the Swans - the one AFL team in Australia's biggest city - rarely achieve a sellout. QBE boss and Swans tragic Graeme Pash said you don't sponsor footy clubs to turn a big profit. You do it for love or you don't do it at all."

IMHO thats libellous what they have written and the club needs to look at it.

They could at least pretend they know something about the AFL! Just a little research would have given them some facts, maybe they were facing a deadline and just pulled some team names out of their ar*e!  ::)

LOL I just responed to the article and read the Thank you for your comment piece which says it wont print your reply if it "contains clear errors of fact".....now thats funny! :rollin

I did too. I went under the name Matthew Richardson to test how dumb and ignorant they really are lol. Rebecca Wilson use to be on The Fat on the ABC a couple of years ago.
