Leading with an article like that, I would be very very surprised if Bowden doesn't make his comeback to the seniors this week.

Funny how playing Joel as a forward was scoffed at only a month ago  :wallywink. He's still on the outer though.

True and it means Joel and Petts are vying for the same spot to open up in the forward line.

Mitch Morton's form is fortunantely keeping one of the two aforementioned blokes in the Coburg side although Joel is in B & F form. For Coburg that is and I hope he wins the Phil Cleary medal. Team is doing well without him.

Most likely garbage but this was posted on Nick's magpies forum:

Apparently Bowden's manager has been linked to conversations with Collingwood about possibly coming to the pies next year..

As already mentioned it is the Jim Sullivan Award

No Coburg award is named after Phil

From the Sunday Age....

Bowden played up forward but kicked like a defender finishing with three goals and four points. But Rawlings was pleased with the 29-year-old, saying playing him in the forward line has given him a new challenge.

"He has spent three or four games down here with us now and I thought I'd keep offering him new challenges. He has done everything in the game pretty much with the midfield and back line in senior footy. He's a very natural forward the way he moves, so if he kicked straighter he was probably the best man on the ground."
