Mystery leg injury puts Tigers' Campbell in doubt

Richmond captain Wayne Campbell is unlikely to play against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG tomorrow because of an unspecified leg injury that did not allow him to train yesterday.

Campbell was named in the Tigers' side last night but did not participate in a closed training session at the MCG earlier in the day. It is believed he walked several laps and jogged another.

Richmond football manager Greg Hutchison admitted last night that Campbell wasn't able to train but said he had not been ruled out of the match.

"We'll wait until Saturday morning. We'll give him every chance," Hutchison said. "It's not that bad. It's not something that he has been carrying but with the travel and the short break . . . it hasn't helped."

With Campbell doubtful, it is likely that David Rodan will be recalled, although coach Danny Frawley said yesterday that if tomorrow was a fine day, Ben Marsh could make his way back into the 22.

"With Brad Ottens and Matthew Richardson down in the forward line, and Stafford, it might mean we can rotate our ruckmen off the bench. A lot will depend on the weather," Frawley said.

Sadly Cambo's copping a few "leg injuries" the past couple of years. We're playing him more across HB to preserve him but it sadly looks like he may only have a year or so left in him. Touchwood, hope I'm wrong though!

With Cogs out as well, if Cambo misses this will only put more workload on Kane Johnson who appears to be carrying some niggling leg or back injury himself.

You can't drink that much grog and expect your body to maintain
its recovery ability.
He's busted up the poor ol' man but surely we all knew that.
Thanx 4 the memories Wayne.

In order for this club to start moving forward and in the right direction Campbell, along with some others need to hang up the boots at the end of the year.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

LMFAOO PRR, amputate his legs now before he injures them again. Play him in a wheel chair off the back pocket. He'll still get 20 touches a game - and he wont be able to do any of those annoying quick kicks.
