David King on 3aw

* Last week was disappointing. It was a big game and we simply didn't fire a shot.

* Bucks asked King how do you deal with that with a young group - do you look at them between the eyes at the start of the week then put your arm around them later in the week or do you blast them all week?
King said you first question whether the group is ready to play finals (based on last week that's a no) and then you go through the game (what they did wrong that they could control so they learn to do it right next time). We had the breeze in the first quarter and got enough of the footy but our players didn't play the roles they were asked and we only kicked one goal which wasn't good enough. We didn't challenge the opposition both individually and as a team. It's no point getting plenty of the ball if you can't get through to score.

* The group is young and still learning and we're happy where we are at.

* Richo's body isn't A1 but that's pretty normal for the big fella. Cometti said last week Richo looked as if he'd never touched a footy before. King said well when Richo plays well we normally win so yeah he had a poor one but everyone seems to unfairly focus on just him when we play poorly.

* Bucks said I guess one positive is expectations are now back on Richmond to perform based on their form this year which wasn't there at the start of the season. Mike butted in and said Richmond  hasn't beaten anyone inside the Eight. King said well we have beaten sides when they were in the Eight (Brisbane) but Mike said they're not in the Eight now. King replied what's the difference and Bucks said well it suits Mike's argument lol.
