7/10

we kept our first two picks.

We didnt get screwed in overpaying for seaby

Wallet was obviously kept away from decision making.

The reason why I rate the trade period a higher than others is because it gives cover for cotchin.

The best thing about thomson is that he is genuinely tough. He loves hitting people and getting hit. The same way that carlton HAD to get warnock because they wanted to protect kruezer, is the same way a player like thomson was a must.

If injury free thomson will play every game next year, he has a very strong developed body, and a very strong mindset. He along with Tuck and jackson will be the ones who will take the punishment and put there bodies on the line to make sure cotchin, and to a lesser extent deledio and foley get a free run on the ball.

He is stronger and quicker than than polo, and inside clearance machine, people forget that players like him, Mitchell, roger james ect, have to make it the hard way, and that they usually come in their own at about 22 yrs old. He is ready to fire and will be a great player for us next year.

Thomson will be our enforcer. CC has identified the major weakness in the team, basically we lack ticker. Thomson, will set the example on the ground and the big winners will be lids and cotch.

This will be a great trade for richmond.

I don't believe that for a second considering Wallace wanted Thomson back in 2004 and was dissapointed that Port nabbed him right before our next pick.

I would say a 7/10.

Kept number 8 which was always the priority and didn;t get dudded.

Adam Thomson will be a very good pick-up value wise!  :clapping

From what I have read about him and what you all are saying about him he will be a handy pick up for us. I can't wait to watch him play. If he is a hard as some are saying this will put him in the line of fire on more than a few occassions.
But this is what we need someone that will not take that backwards step.
This is why I loved it when Tim Flemming was playing. If there was a fight look at the bottom of it, and out pop Tim.
He had the fighting spirt that we had many years ago. And I loved that about him.
And if Adam is like that, this can only help our strenght onfeild.
So you go Adam Ant.

Adam Ant was the guy who sang "Ant music" in the early 80s  ;).
