David King on 3aw
« on: October 23, 2008, 07:52:23 PM »
David King is on 3aw with Healy tonight....

* Premierships are won starting now (preseason). Hawthorn spent their preseason last year working on their cluster etc and got the jump.

* Our 3 year and under cubs comeback to start preseason training on Monday. The others will start back in the coming weeks.

* No 18 man zone for us but all clubs will institute some form of zoning.

* Hawthorn pioneered this with their closed sessions and it's hard to get into Waverley. They still won't say anything. As people change clubs (leave Hawthorn) and players leave everyone else will learn more about what they do behind closed doors.

* Healy asked if Royal was heading to the Saints ??? and King said as far as he is aware Royal is staying at the Tiges as our forward coach.

This might explain why we haven't announced all our delistings yet (re: rookies). Perhaps we are waiting to see what shape certain players return in after their break before making any final list decisions.
