52. West Coast - Clancee Pearce

West Coast need more speed and class coming out of the backline. Pearce is a classy prospect who will play next year. Has good skills and is accountable.

Port Adelaide.

Pick 54 - Sam Wright - 188cm, 76kg - Vic

HFF that has great handles and good skills but needs to work on his defensive game.  A good pick up at this stage but will need work.

55. Essendon - Taylor Hunt  (182cm, 79kg)

HBF/BP who has good pace, rebounds well and his defensive side of his game is a strength as well. I just liked his game playing for Vic Metro and as a late-ish selection.

Its almost a pick made for me because we have selected a midfielder and a forward but still no ruckman, and it's an area we really must draft in.  For the record if I had it from the start I would have gone for Trengove and Roughead with the 1st two picks but what's done is done and I now have project ruckman to choose from.

And the best available is . . .

Pick #58 -

Tom Hill - 199.7cm, 80kg - Vic

Bottom age player that is very much a project player that needs to build strength but is still growing and has good speed and agility for a ruckman.  Don't expect anything from him next year and unless he can pack on kilos very quickly probably not a lot in 2010.  This is a pick that had to be made and I believe Tom Hill is the best ruckman left that has the best opportunity to take over from Simmo.

Fire away.  :outtahere

Bit disappointed that there are two KP forwards left I like but I had to go this way, really.

Mitch Brown at state screenings is now 195cm.
The Cotch was right.

Mitch Brown is getting a bit of a wrap by the looks of it too.  Looks a bit skinny but I have to remember they are just kids.

That photo is of Watts, not Brown

LOL helps if I read the caption under the photo.  I just assumed that since the article was about Brown they would have put a photo of him in it.  Funnily enough the artice was about Brown coming out of Watts shadow and what did they do on an article about Brown developing, put a photo of Watts in there.
