Can't really complain with those outs or ins
I'm sure some will have issue with Brown coming straight in, but with Richo out we need some more talent up forward
Glad to see Simmo getting a chance up forward, having a decent big guy in the goal square will straighten us up and take a good defender away from others.

hate these ins.
when is wallace going to stop being selfish and looking out for his own future and think about the club for a change.

it's time to play the youth but what does he do?? bring back 3 30yo+ players....disgraceful.  i'm alright with bringing cousins in.  but nathan brown wasnt' in great form before he was injured, and now he comes straight back into the team?? and what's the point of bringing simmonds in at FF?? with richo out it's teh best time to see what our young forwards can do with an eye on the future...but he brings simmonds in....FFS....

we really should have sacked him...hope we get smashed this week with these ins

Sarge did nothing against Casey, didn't deserve a call up

None of the kids played well either, except for Edwards, but it was his first good game all year so needs to back it up before a recall

Cousins back with Brown, Simmonds
richmondfc.com.au
By Mic Cullen 5:09 PM Thu 07 May, 2009

BEN COUSINS is back.

After five weeks on the sidelines, Cousins proved his fitness last week with Coburg in the VFL and has been promoted for his second game for the Tigers as they prepare to take on the Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Richmond will be hoping this match proves more productive than Cousins' debut against Carlton in round one, when he was forced from the field early in the last term with a torn hamstring.

Cousins played 238 matches for West Coast before parting ways with that club and served a year's suspension from the competition. But Richmond snapped him up with 2008's last draft pick.

Following a successful VFL outing, Richmond saw reason to instantly recall him.

"We were really pleased with his form last week with Coburg, and the approach he took into that game was terrific," football manager Ross Monaghan told richmondfc.com.au.

"His recovery has been excellent, he trained well during the week and we're pleased to have him back in the team."

Joining Cousins back at the top level are Nathan Brown and Troy Simmonds, while Matthew Richardson is out after his hamstring tendon operation.

Jordan McMahon and Mitch Morton have been dropped.

"Nathan has come up really well after a couple of weeks' rest and recovery, and Troy gives us some extra height and versatility to match up on the Brisbane talls," Monaghan said.

I can see why Cousins,Brown and Simmonds have been brought in........Its last roll of the dice time.Terry might as well go down playing the so called "Big Guns".

I will cross my fingers and toes that Cuz gets through the game injury free.

Good luck Boys :gotigers

We'll get bagged for all the ins being three 30+ year olds but apart from Browny coming straight back in Cuz and Simmo were two of Coburg's best so no complaints from me. We should have the advantage in the ruck as Simmo will allow us to rotate 3 ruckman against Brisbane who are using Mitch Clark as a fill in due to all their ruck injuries. Hopefully that will give us first use of the footy.

I hope Cuz gets through  :pray despite not playing a full game at Coburg otherwise the club will cop plenty of chicken poo from the media if Cuz goes down straight after Richo  :-\.

The outs are fair enough. Jordie and Mitch were poor. No complaints there.

Best side I have seen this year by far, well on paper at least and of course without Richo and Cotch. I think Brown and Cousins work rate is 10 fold compared to Jordy & Morton at the moment. Morton really needs to get about 3 games in a row with Coburg gathering big numbers or bagging goals.

Schulz simply does not have the class of Nathan Brown nor the smarts, I would have selected Brown as well.

If Cuz does go down why are we going to blame everyone. He is medically fit and he showed in round one he hasn't lost it and for those of you saying that the season is over in round 6 please wake up and give the boys a bit of backing.

Very Interesting - at least we kept the young boys in - well done

My only hope is we dont take other clubs discards - only trade for a player one outside our 22 and is below 22
