Like for like changes I'd presume WAT. With Thursty, Moore, McGuane and Silvester in the side then having both Post and Rance in would mean we'd have had 6 tall defenders. Just far too many so one had to go for Post to come in. I think Ramps is right about the reason (ie. Rance's kicking on the run needs work). What's a bit odd is the Club got him to do  the media conference earlier in the week about what a good opportunity it is to head up to the Gold Coast this week and now he's not going.

Good to see Collo back. On the other hand you'd presume we won't see JON is a Richmond guernsey ever again and not on our list for 2010.

But didn't they have Edwards playing for Coburg in the same position as Rance prior to coming into the side? Surley rance moves just as good as Edwards in the back line and he is more versatile IMO. Don't you thin Rance kicks better than Edwards, Edwards turns the ball over so much.

Great to see Collo back and I agree on the JON call...... what a waste for him.

There's a 13cm difference in height. I personally don't believe Edwards is a small defender or HBF (he's a small forward/HFF) so yep I would have Rance ahead of him as a backman but I'm guessing Edwards because had a decent game against the Eagles he had some brownie points which saved him. Rance's kicking has been down the last couple of weeks and like I said with four other 190cms in the backline plus another coming into the side there was no room for Rance from a team balance p.o.v.

Yeh very odd isnt it.

While his disposal does need working on I would be keeping him in the top side now until the end of the year.  The 2009 season is gone and the experience would be good for him as he will hopefully be a major part of our side for years to come.

I agree with most that its only team balance keeping Rance out of the side this week.

Edwards despite his flaws is capable of "pinching" a goal or two which is what the team needs.

Is it just me or is Rance looking very Duncan Kellaway-esque at the moment but without the footy smarts.
