Hopefully the selection committee when they convene during the week resist the temptation to bring in a Bowden or a Brown and just give them a send off game in either rd 20 or 21 being our last home games for the year. Maybe we can keep Edwards in the side to go onto Corey Jones after King has been on him for a quarter or so.

Why make wholesale changes to a winning formula. 

Bringing in too many fringe players who have had their chance and may be on what they feel is there last chance may be risky. If someone like a Schulz or a Pettifer come in and kicks 8 we win against a team who had a similar plan as us and that player is delisted at the end of the year only for us to finish 11th would be devastating and galling to us fans.  Tank tank tank and only subtle changes.

I'm keen to keep up the run of newbies with the inclusion of Thomson in this weeks team. With Moore injured I would like to see the return of Silvester but otherwise, a player from left field, Polak could make a return.... I think if he has another couple of games like yesterday Polak could make a reappearance during a home game for the supporters.

I know we can only win one more game but to shut every F'wit up in the media comparing our list to North’s, I would love to give them an all mighty hiding this weekend. I consider myself fairly football educated but to compare our list to Norths is just laughable! We are a great coach, one more good onballer, a key forward and a little luck away from being a very competitive side. That is why we must get Buckley and get a priority pick come November.
Football is a funny game and it can change very quickly (just ask Hawthorn) and a little bit of good management over the next few months should see us heading in the right direction for the first time in a long time.

I see there are a few calls for Raines to come in.

Based on his game on Sunday at Williamstown - absolutely no way, not enough defensive pressure on his opponent, average disposal, did have 4 goals kicked against him.

But hey it's just my opnion
