Rumours are the first cut has been made to the candidates list

Jade Rawlings
Damien Hardwick
Ken Hinkley
Allan Richardson
Leon Cameron

Are supposedly the 5 with

A 6th candidate as well

My preference

1) Hardwick
2) Richardson
3) Hinkley
4) Rawlings
5) Cameron

thats a bit harsh 4 rawlings- he has been doing a pretty good job nd the players respond to him. he is passionate and loves his footy. they should seriously think about keeping him on

I agree they should keep him on- but not as senior coach. They should offer him a position as Player Development Manager and ask him to look after player development. I still believe a "development academy" would help RFC improve its players and Rawlings could lead that.

No doubt he'd be very good in this role, problem is by the time players arrive they are 17-18 and want to be playing footy well within two years. I'm not sure what a "development academy" would entail that a VFL reserves team doesn't?? Getting our own VFL reserve team would be helpful but I don't see that happening in the short term. So what exactly would a development academy be?

The present draft rules repel clubs from working with players under draft age unless they are father-sons.

Whispers on 3aw says the Roos job is down to either Hardwick, Longmire, Brad Scott and Crocker.

So the only crossover/competition with Richmond is with Hardwick.
