2003 - Won Reserves Magarey Medal for Eagles in SA.
2005 - Won William Leitch Medal for Glenorchy in Tas.
2006/07 - Senior Coach Glenorchy in Tas (R/up '06, premiers '07).
2008/09 - Kangaroos Development Coach - sacked with Rock, Bewick and Daly when Brad Scott was appointed.

Newett’s CV also includes stints with the Northern Tasmania Football Academy and the Tasmanian Institute of Sport.
