It's shaping up well for us to get no one again... :snidegrin

Just out of curiosity, what are you basing that post on?

Oh just the last 20 years.

Not a big fan of Jeremy Humm eh?

I won't be banking on getting any decent players to the club based on the crap we have been fed in the past, that way I will pleasantly surprised IF we actually get anyone above average.

The hype builds first, the let downs come later.

May need to lower that bar a touch then.

Now we're talk'n,hopefully we've waved the money in front of his manager.
Still haven't got over  those bastards taking Maxfield.

i remember that well, we more pushed Maxfield and offered Chris Naish a stupid amount to stay at the club as we were scared Sydney would take him, all in vain as they could only take one player from a club at that time and Chris Naish ended up being one of our highest paid players.

GOLD Coast midfielder Dion Prestia has played his last game for 2016 – and possibly his last in Suns colours.

Prestia is having surgery in Melbourne on Tuesday afternoon, with his knee injury worse than first thought

The out-of-contract 23-year-old has been playing with pain for much of the season, but aggravated the problem in round 16 against the Brisbane Lions.

The recovery period is six weeks, ruling Prestia out of a return to action this year.

Prestia will have his bout of knee surgery and then decide on his future.

"He'll miss the rest of the year," Gold Coast football manager Marcus Ashcroft told AFL.com.au.

"We thought it'd be touch and go, but with five weeks remaining, there's not enough time to come back.

"He's pushed through most of the year with what he's had."

Prestia has "wear and tear" and some floating bone in the knee that needs cleaning out.

Disagree. Can play with injury is a great ability to have. Gets the ball which is an important trait too.

For me it's all about what we give up for him. Next years second rounder plus a player?

Would have him for the right trade but is more of a depth midfielder than a big fish.

Maybe as you say a second rounder and an average player.

Maybe Edwards with a second round pick would be enough.

Apparently they need cap space.....and let's face it, Sydney just shyte out kids like Heeney thanks to their academy...each year's models seemingly better than the previous year's... (see Mills)...hell, they can afford to send Heeney back to the NEAFL.....only back in this week....
