This routine he has where he turns his back to goal and then play on and go for a snap is perplexing. I know back in the day it was there to get a second head start on the opposition running into smother the kick, but with the new protected zone it’s just not necessary.

You would say if it works for him then run with it but it clearly doesn’t.
I don't think it is his routine. During preseason he was working on straight line drop punts. Seems under game pressure he's returned to old bad habits that don't work  :help.

The worst of the lot today. That last missed goal will be hard to delete from my brain for the remainder of the weekend.  :banghead  :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

He's a liability pure and simple.
That last goal attempt summed him up perfectly and the club, coaching staff deserve everything they get for continuing to play him.
That last goal miss an absolute club (not coach) killer.

It’s a bloody miracle this bloke has three premiership medals.

It’s a travesty really that legend players haven’t got one but this moron has three  :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm

Mindboggling. Wouldn’t get a game with Nunawading.

He used to be a better player than this. Either the game has gone past him or he's gone backwards. I've been his staunchest supporter but am done.

MR wasn’t involved enough either

Applied much more pressure IMO than his actual stats show.

Who was the player at Adelaide who was fired mid season.

Was it Pittman? Feel like it was an Adelaide ruckman. Anyway, Castagna should be next. Pay out his contract and leave him in GC.

They are copping it Aarts and Castagna and rightly so but geez there are others who are guilty of similar and cop nothing.
