Ins- Broad, Castagna, McBean,

Outs- Houli, B. Ellis,  Grigg,

-play Lennon out of the square FFS

Would like to see all of the ins you suggested play.

Would only bring in George from that lot, his defensive pressure is excellent which compensates to a degree for is average disposal

McBean doesn't deserve a chance based on his "efforts" yesterday.

Broad was OK but his disposal is a real worry. But based on that and how the AFL blokes went on Saturday Broad's probably a lock  ;D

Is his disposal a worry or just the way he looks when he's kicking? He looks gumby but from what little I have seen he hits targets much more often than not

In game his technique breaks down thus he misses more than he hits. He has strengths but kicking is not one of them ATM.

The West Coast crowd won't have forgotten Vickery for his hit on Cox and will boo him every time he goes near the ball..... if he handles the reaction the same way he did that night we'll basically be a man down for the match...well two men down if Hamspud plays....

Is McBean up to AFL standard? Putting aside his defensive flaws does he have the requisite skill to play AFL football?

If we are taking a step back then McBean should be given a dozen or so games.
What has more value come trade time McBean with a dozen games experience in the AFL
or another season at VFL?
The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Seriously though, Plugger couldn't get a kick in our forwardline the way the footy comes in. And I'm sure it's no better in the twos.
If we are talking second efforts, Griffiths should never get a game ever again as he is putrid.
And lastly it took Dimma an eternity to play Miles when he was killing it week in week out in the twos. What was Dimma's knock on him at the time??
And he continues to play Houli, Ellis and Grigg so IMO I'm not taking his opinion of players as gospel.
Not to mention the game plan he is running with....   :help

Reckon they might drop Vlaustin this week
Precedent set after Round 1 , get 5 or less possessions , you don't get a game the following week

Is that why Cotchin gets all those "give it offs". ?

I rate Vlastuin but if he were to be dropped this week, fair enough. DH needs to get tougher with his players.
Let's be honest it's not the end of the world but if it gives a player the kick up the ass he needs then it's a vital tool.
Same with dragging players off the field if they have done something weak or lazy during the game. I know it doesn't always benefit the side at that moment but it may do long term.
Some of the simple coaching tools have been lost with the game speeding up.

I don't know about dropping him but a positional change wouldn't hurt him.
I'd be throwing him through the midfield in the Townsend roll, I'm not sure if it would help him or not but he certainly doesn't look right playing in the back pocket.

The Barometer - Round 4
Herald-Sun
11 April 2016

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK: Mercifully, there were no fresh injuries in the demoralising loss to Adelaide. Shaun Hampson seems unlikely to be sacrificed for Ivan Maric this week and was solid against the Crows anyway. Nick Vlastuin (five disposals) wasn’t and may be nervous this week.

ON THE CUSP:
Maric was forecast to play 80 minutes in the VFL yesterday in his return from a back injury and got through well. Hardwick raised the prospect of playing both Maric and Hampson against the Eagles, but surely that won’t happen with Maric’s VFL comeback only five days before that AFL game. Brett Deledio could still be several weeks away with a lingering quad injury, but did kick the “big ball” at training on Saturday morning. Dylan Grimes (hamstring tendon) is expected to miss one more week. Adam Marcon and Andrew Moore were again good in the VFL yesterday, as was banished midfielder Taylor Hunt, who responded well to his demotion. It was a different story for Ben Griffiths, who gave away two early free kicks and left the field with an ankle injury. Omitted onballer Jacob Townsend is an option to return, but wasn’t risked in the VFL due to a series of corks in the same spot on his leg.

SAM EDMUND’S FORECAST:
Boy oh boy. It’s Groundhog Day, with the Tigers besieged for the third consecutive year early in the season. Now, the most daunting road trip in footy awaits — West Coast at Subiaco. Lose and the Tigers slump to 1-3. But they will take confidence from the fact they have rolled the Eagles in the sides’ last two meetings in Perth. Certainly the coach is confident, declaring yesterday the Tigers will still make the eight. For now, they face having to right the ship without Deledio, Maric, Grimes, Chris Yarran and Reece Conca.
