1st couple of minutes of the game kick poor kick went towards Riewoldt and Hurley marked.

Instead of wrapping him up Riewoldt kept his eyes on the bloke that kicked it poorly and Hurley played on and ran through the line.

That's not injury, fatigue, umpires or anything else.

It's attitude and a very poor one.

The thing that annoys me most is that he did these things when we were winning?

Spat the dummy and pointed finger vs Carlton in round 1 and he kicked 6 and played well.

No one was whinging then.

I don't mind how much a player sooks and how bad his body language is, if the players upfield don't do the job then let them know.

What I do have a problem with though is doing it instead of doing your job as a footballer like in that instance.

cant agree with that ox. i saw more in vickery tonight than i have ever seen in gus and it will have done him the world of good the problem was it was robbing peter to pay paul but vickery has football brain that gus and browne could only dream of. actually i wonder if they could even comprehend it enough to even dream about it

They would have both been asleep by qtr time,Al

Worst game i have seen Jack play in a long time. Even the goal he got was from a lucky free on Pears.

Hardwick made no excuses for Jack after the game. Said Jack had a poor game.

* Q. You mentioned a couple of weeks ago about Jack playing injured - any change in that?
Jack's fine. He just got beaten by a better player. We expect him to bounce back next week.

* Q. He's moving like a player whose carrying something?
There's lots of players like that who are moving exactly the same. It's a tough time of the year. So we expect him to get better. He didn't play overly well tonight.

Hutchy claimed tonight on Footy Classified that Jack is playing with a cracked rib!

Make of that what you will ...

He does seem to be playing with restrictions and that would explain what it is.
But I agree with you coming from Hutchy you can only make of that what you will.

the cracked rib he refers to is the remains of a BBQ rib found in jacks rubbish bin.

remember that mark attemp he tried to take a huge one but the bloke move out from under him and kinda tunnelled him so he land flat on his back and head?  I was wondering how he didn't actually kill himself but he very well could of injured himself in that one, might explain a bit.

Was against Freo that leaping attempt falling on his back.

Hasn't been the same since, was quiet the week after in Dreamtime.

- Port = was rubbish
- Brisbane = beaten by Maguire
- Melbourne = beaten by Frawley (always happens)
- Carlton = debacle anyway
- Essendon = beaten by Hurley

Dimma said today in his press conference he's not worried about the offensive side of Jack's game as the goals will come. It's the defensive side where Jack can improve.

Tigers jump to Jack Riewoldt's defence

    Matt Windley
    From: Herald Sun
    July 15, 2011

RICHMOND coach Damien Hardwick leapt to the defence of Jack Riewoldt yesterday, blaming the Tigers' poor forward entries for the full-forward's dip in form.

Riewoldt has kicked more than two goals only once in his past six outings - when he kicked four in his side's 103-point loss to Carlton.

But Hardwick is happy enough with the 22-year-old's output.

"He's running second in the Coleman Medal," Hardwick said of Riewoldt yesterday.

"The easiest person on the ground to criticise is the full-forward. They're very reliant on what happens up the field with ball delivery. The only thing I can suggest with Jack is the area of his game that he can improve is his defensive efforts, and we've had conversations about that.

"Offensively, we're not really worried about the goals, they'll come, but surprisingly, defensively if you get your stuff done then offensively your game will come from there."

Hardwick scoffed at suggestions Riewoldt was carrying a significant injury, but admitted he did have his niggles.

"The majority of the players in the AFL at the moment are either fatigued or injured. He's no different."

Doc Larkins reckons Jack has some groin or higher up thigh injury. If that's the case then the Club should be asked why is Jack playing with our season gone.
