Dimma post-game discussing Lynch's game:

" I thought he was elite. Best forward on the ground. Unlucky not to kick a couple of more. His contested marking was good. He's missed a chunk of footy so he is only going to get better. He was moving a lot better so you could see the benefit of him having the op. Really pleased with the result we got from him tonight and hope he builds on that in the coming weeks".

Easily our best.

Pity the umpires didn't reward him for being grabbed, scragged and constantly mandatory handled most of the night.

Think he got paid 2 when it should have been about 10  :banghead

Lynch was a standout with 13 disposals, six marks (a game-high five of them inside 50 and three contested), four inside-50s, a game-high five goals and seven score involvements.

It was the most goals he had scored in a match since the 2019 preliminary final victory over Geelong, when he also kicked five.

Tigers forward Tom Lynch says he's prepared to sacrifice his own performance for more premiership glory. The high-priced star says he's happy to remain in the shadows of Jack Riewoldt, who will play his 300th game on Friday night.  @laura_spurway #7NEWS

The highly-paid Tiger who needs to stand up

Damien Hardwick hasn’t given up hope of a September charge - but he needs one Tiger in particular to deliver.

I'll hate to be a big forward in our side with our delivery. On Sunday it was a joke how often he was held and no free kick while others are payed them.Sinced the media sniped him last year he gets payed nothing.

My main issue with him is that he misses too many easy shots and it's often at crucial points in the game... :shh

Yep , shanks a lot of his set shots

And the one thing that stands out when he shanks them is he far to close to the man on the mark

He doesn't seem to have a set routine  :huh3

Sometimes he's a better shot from further out. That missed shot vs Freo killed us. No excuses for it when you're paying a bloke that much $$$ to kick goals for a living.
