The Kiwis did us no favours against England  :P.

Hard to see us qualifying now. We would need to thrash Afghanistan as well as rely on Sri Lanka at worse being competitive and pushing England to a close game.

After our insipid performance against the Kiwis in our first game we don't deserve to qualify

So, England, who lost to Ireland deserve a spot ahead of us?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Yep, even more so after they whacked the Kiwis the other night.

The Poms losing to Ireland was impacted by the weather and the DL system

Aussie's versus NZ were just pathetic

Aus 8/168 off our 20 overs.

Maxwell 54* (32), Marsh 45 (30), Warner 25 (18), Stoinis 25 (21).

The last 5 overs sums up why we're going to miss out qualifying for the semis. 4/29 off the last 28 balls against the winless bottom side of the group.

Afghanistan 6/164.

Zampa 2/22, Hazlewood 2/33, Cummins 0/22, Richardson 1/48, Green 1/13 (2), Stoinis 0/26 (2).

Barely avoided an embarrassing loss. Maxwell the only Aussie who can hold his head up tonight. The Afghan tail thanks to Rashid Khan scored 0/58 off the last 5 overs :facepalm. Compare that to our 4/29. If it wasn't for their middle order having one massive brainfade in one over they would've won.

Well, we really lulled the Kiwis in that first game into a false sense of security  :whistle.

With Pakistan in final, the MCC will now be hoping India beats England tonight so the 'G is packed out again.

Glenn Maxwell has suffered a freak leg break at a party on Saturday night which is expected to see him ruled out for over three months.

Just makes you scratch your head even more that Starc didn't play in our last T20 game.

Aussies made 8/280 by the way. Smith leading the way again with 94. Labuschagne 58 & Marsh 50.

Poms currently 2/14 (3).
