Pakistan 271 all out. Lyon 3 wickets, Starc & Cummins 2, Hazlewood, Marsh 7 Head 1 each.

Aussies currently 1/4. A lead of 220 runs. Warner out for a duck.

Aussies 2/84 at Stumps. Smith 43*, Khawaja 34*.

A lead of 300 runs.

Not that easy to bat now with some deliveries leaping up off that pitch.

Warner goes from chocolates to boiled lollies in 5 balls

So question becomes if he fails in the Boxong Day test does he deserve to get his swansong at the Sydney Test?

Personally I think he's very lucky to be playing this test. His form in test matches hasn't warranted his selection for the last 2 years

He won't be dropped but he's lucky we're playing Pakistan who are useless in Oz and the Windies who are barely test standard these days so the side can probably afford to carry one or two passengers  through the summer.... :shh

This could be over within the next hour. Aussies only need 4 more wickets.

All over. Aussies win by 360 runs.

Lyon got his 500th (and 501st) wicket  :clapping.

Pakistan out for just 89. Hazlewood 3/13, Starc 3/31, Lyon 2/18, Cummins 1/11.

One guy took 708 at 25.41
The other is sitting on 501 at 31.00

No comparison and I don’t reckon anyone would be silly enough to do so

Lyon has still been a very good and underrated player for a long time

But would be like comparing a Dusty with a Prestia etc

Great teammate , very VERY good player .. but not one of the greatest of all time

Shame for Pakistani to capitulate like they did

As for Lyon, he's had his critics, but 500+ wickets is a seriously impressive feat and even I don't know how he got them off. I've always thought his variation is quite limited and I wonder if he gets wickets because batsman just don't respect him all that much but here he is with 500+ and still playing, proving us all wrong.

Not bad for a bloke who was working as a curator. Kind of like if Podsiadly went and kicked 400-500 goals.
