Not a good year to make 10 changes to your senior list.

Saints will end up with another generation of hacks who can't cut the mustard.
So the Saints are sticking to the same tried and true methods that have served them well over 138 years ;D.

Brad Ottens has retired:

GEELONG'S Mr September, triple-premiership ruckman Brad Ottens, has retired.
Ottens said this morning the time was right to end his career after 245 games.

He said the decision came after lengthy discussions with coach Chris Scott.

While some had suggested Ottens could be put on ice for half a season and play only the final months of the year, when he has dominated in recent times, the 31-year-old said making a clean break was the right call.

“I think the time is right,” Ottens told the Cats website.

Meanwhile over at the Dees they've de-listed Austin Wonaeamirri

And the Pies have officially de-listed Leon Davis
=====

MELBOURNE has delisted exciting forward Austin Wonaeamirri.

The goalsneak endured a tough year, taking time out from footy to return to the Tiwi Islands following the death of his father Matthew in May.

Wonaeamirri managed five senior games this season, taking his career tally to 31.

Today is the deadline for clubs to lodge list changes before the draft, with Collingwood officially cutting All-Australian defender Leon Davis this morning.

The Demons returned to training this morning to prepare for 2012.

MORE TO COME

NATHAN Krakouer has been released from his Gold Coast contract for personal reasons and will return to his home in Western Australia.

After working closely with Krakouer's manager, the AFL Players' Association, and a range of professionals, the Suns have decided to allow Krakouer to return to Perth.

He is the second Sun in the space of two weeks to be released for personal reasons, after Rex Liddy was let go late in November.
