The inconsistent delivery inside F50 and disconnect between our mids and forwards (our injuries isn't helping that) as well as our MIA small forwards is making it harder for Jack (and Lynch) this year. The problem is not Jack who is on track for 55 goals by the end of the H/A season.

See how he goes. Wouldn't rush.

Started strong but has faded terribly.
Would sign up for one year in a heart beat despite him being in slow decline even as back up if we get another F/A .Name one other genuine tall fwd on the list outside of him and Lynch on the list. And please no Ruck fwds.
True, we don't have any genuine developing key forwards which is an issue. Balta and Miller would've been recruited as potential future key forwards but they have settled now as key defenders. Biggie is another who is a developing key defender.

When this dynasty era ends and we slip down the ladder, we will need to attack the high end of the draft and bring in genuinely talented key forwards as well as ballwinning mids. Given we have two first rounders this year, we should be starting on that path now to get a head start on rebuilding before we drop off.

RICHMOND COACH FLAGS ROLE CHANGE FOR VETERAN FORWARD

By Laurence Rosen
SEN
29 May 2021

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has flagged a potential role change for Jack Riewoldt during Sunday’s game against Adelaide.

Originally scheduled to be played at the MCG, Victoria’s COVID situation saw the game moved to GIANTS Stadium.

Hardwick’s side welcomes back a host of big names for the clash, with the likes of Dion Prestia, Shai Bolton and captain Trent Cotchin all returning from respective injuries.

He said Riewoldt’s role “will look a little bit different” during parts of the game against the Crows.

“(His role) may change a little bit,” he told reporters on Saturday.

“We had a training session yesterday where his role will look a little bit different at various stages, but predominately it’ll stay the same.

“With some personnel that go down there (Riewoldt's role will) be a different at stages and hopefully you’ll get a good look at that tomorrow (in the game against Adelaide).”

Question is would have Chol marked it if Jack wasn't there? He was certainly surprised as we all were.

Dimma post-game talking about Jack:

* Jack's patch in the last was amazing. In fairness, I was calling him out of that mark, saying 'don't go, don't go', I thought the game was probably over. But that's what Richmond men do, they continue to go back with the flight of the ball no matter what time of the game or what the score is. Jack has been doing a power of work. Sometimes he gets judged harshly by a lot of people. But he plays a valuable role for us and Tom (Lynch) is the same. Every now and then they get a lick of the ice cream. So it was great reward for effort tonight.

Gee he looks so much better when roaming around not playing deep forward. When he doesn't get into grappling contests he plays like this :clapping

Agree. Suits his football smarts. Like where he waited and waited for CCJ to lead and get a break on the defender and then place to ball in perfect position for him.
