Is winning the league too harsh an expectation of Man U? You don't spend that much coin not to especially when they're not playing UCL.

I dont reckon they can win it. Midfield still needs work - morgan/herrera/Miki are not top shelf imo. Valencia/Darmian need to be upgraded - and very interested to see how many Zlatan ends up scoring - love him but reckon hes getting a bit long in the tooth to be able to dominate the PL. Martial looks likely but like Rashford, still developing. Too many questions marks yet, but jose will whip them into shape and they'll challeneg sooner rather than later.

City is looking ridiculous

Fascinated to see how he plays them

4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1?

I'd go

----------Aguero----------
Nolito----Silva------De Bryne
----Toure---Gundogen------
Kolarov---Kompany---Otta---Sagna

Bench:
Stirling
Sane
Stones
Bony
Nasri
Clichy

4231 or 4141/451 for mine. Too many dangerous attacking mids to do anything else. I've been playing Football Manager, so in my now expert opinion that's how I'd play them  ;D

But back to Man U quickly, I agree with you TM but how can you justify dropping so much coin if it wasn't because you thought it would buy you a title?

I they play a back three then you can have then all on the pitch at once. Heaps of deapth with the like of  Zinchenko.

Also - full backs looks the least strong area so why play them?

Nothing would surprise me taticallty with pep

Hull's knocked off the reigning champs Leicester on the first day.

And Paddy McNair, making his debut for Sunderland, scored an own goal in the 87th min after being subbed on just 4 minutes earlier lol. This is on top of the Black Cats giving away a needless penalty after just 4 minutes. A gift three points to Man City to start the season.

Hull      2 - 1    Leicester
Burnley  0 - 1   Swansea
Palace    0 - 1   WBA
Everton  1 - 1   Tottenham
Middlesbrough 1 - 1  Stoke
Southampton  1 - 1  Watford
Man City  2 - 1   Sunderland
