The Bombers demise has been a while coming, Knighter is about to carry the can.

Wouldn't of been to long ago someone was singing a different tune 'Insert poster name here'
That is now inconspicuosly quiet   ;) :banghead - lol

Good coach is Matty Knights.
problem with most posters on here is you read the rubbish in the papers :banghead
Credit where its due with Knighter, at least he doesnt put 18 players behind the ball, you teach them NOTHING.
I wish the tiges played with a bit of "'flair"

knights is a dead man walking

Would swap him for Hardwick tomorrow

 :rollin here we go.
if i was a supporter of the Bombers and im not that win was devoid of anything
except that the Hawks are either in big trouble after winning the big one 2 years ago
or they are suffering from a host of injuries..
so in effect you quite like the idea of how they leak goals

Explain to me the game plan then.
I wait your advice

His main game plan is fairly simple and this entire season is about laying the foundations for it in the future.

Wallet had his troops confused as to what their roles were and his strategies changes constantly.
The first step is to iron that out. Not easy.

With Dimma right now it's the polar opposite of Terry. He knows the cattle at his disposal isn't there yet so it's back to K.I.S.S. theory for now.
The game plan is not complicated but it's fairly consistent that I can see despite appearing messy at times when we're being well beaten.

The crux of it is Dimma is looking to find skilled players who make good decisions off HB that can set up attack.
He's so far tried Connors & Edwards there with some success as well as Tambling, Newman, Cotchin, Cousins & Deledio.
IMO we are really starting to spread the ball well from defence and this has been the most marked improvement so far for me this year.
I have seen some clearance sequences from the back half this year that I haven't seen from a RFC side in some time.
Sure it hasn't gone entirely smoothly but I can see what he's trying to do. Can appear excruciating at times but he's rotating quite a few through there to see who fits best going forward. It won't happen overnight..

Smart move IMO to focus on this area first when you consider the run & carry from defence of the better sides in the comp such as:
Sydney (Malceski, Kennelly, Mattner, Shaw)
Bullies (Griffen, Hargrave, Gilbee, Harbrow)
St Kilda (Goddard, Gram, Gilbert, Fisher)
Pies (Shaw, OBrien, Johnson,

That's one part of it and a key one at that.

The midfield is taking shape too. We have been quite competitive against other sides this year at the clearances.
Martin is a revelation & Foley's return will help enormously.
Still need more quality in there and hopefully we pick up another tough skilled mid a pick 4 this year.
Cotchin is getting plenty of game time in there which will stand him in good stead but we need more depth of quality to improve.
We need more skill and we need more hurt factor from our mids. The likes of Tuck & Jackson will hopefully be squeezed out sooner rather than later.

Dimma's next focus will be on finding quality tall forwards.
Astbury and Griffiths are a big part of this plan but obviously neither are established as of yet.
Riewoldt is carrying a big load and doing well but needs help.
My opinion is we need to take another quality tall forward this year.

There's still a heap of holes across the paddock that need to be patched but that's expected.

Our biggest weakness that I can see currently is clearly the ruck and I'd expect the club will be thinking of going to market for an established one.
Who that might be I don't know but right now it's killing us not having a quality ruckman or two.

Happy with what I have seen from Dimma so far.
I'll mark him harder in two years.

Absolute GARBAGE
What game plan ?

Hardwick has got a tough job on his hands and he knew it when he signed on.
But we have to give him time to get it fully installed in a young team.
So how about getting off his and the teams back and give them a fair go.
We are a team of young up and coming players and it will take time for everthing to come together.
So if you want to have a go at him (Hardwick) you ain't no fan of our young lads doing the best they can against teams of men.

i agree Dimma needs time. stuff we gave the tanned one at least 2 years before we started to judge him so i will give Dimma exactly that.

Problem i have is we need to stop making excuses for simple football lessons which aren't being executed like Tackling, Shepherding and blocking. Its our senior players which dont learn and its their poor body language which now rubs onto the younger ones.

Dimma was shown to be a tough player now he needs to make the tough call on some of our senior players. Players are getting a game who dont deserve it, while you have Gourdis & Browne who deserve a crack but are getting SFA.
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Give Dimma time
He has had a pre season and 6 weeks to implement some sort of game plan.

I would say that you could do better. :lol
I your dreams, you just want everyone to disagree with you.
Is that the way you like to get your kicks ?
If we are so bad, Why stay with us, go to the winning teams. Sure on one will stop you from leaving.
You always want to lay the boots in where they ain't needed. Do you feel better for doing it?
I think you do as you are always at it.
So why not leave us if we are so bad that you have to undermine our coach all the time.
Oh sorry you like to stir the pot. :wallywink

Cant apply a gameplan if your Ruckman is shot to bits & scared to kick a football incase his knee snaps  ;D
Hardwick need to start by putting Simmonds off the payroll & on the LTIL & promote Gourdis
time to act 6 rounds of poo l had enough of Simmonds

Of course he does but it's clear he doesn't have the cattle. To most anyway. ::)
Please tell me your game plan to make us more competitive( starting with how to beat beat Geelong), with our current list?
I await your advice..

Not once today did he put extra players behind the ball.  I thought, in your words, that would "teach them something:".

with what players jamie?

We lose structure after 5 mins
We play guys who are hopless ( Dea and Rance )
We play players out of positon, ( Lids down back, Farmer up forward etc )
Our onballers start behind the immediate opponents at stoppages.
We dont sprend
We do isolate players
We are are unpredictable to our own teamates.
Now thats for starters

According to Lyon and Brayshaw, Barrett will have two AFL clubs linked to the Storm salary cap drama. Waldron of course worked for St Kilda and Richmond so there's probably more irrelevent RFC bashing coming up  ::).
