Anyone here, there that night?

Friday night, Round 22, 1999 and we were playing Carlton. Razor Ray Hall's debut ;D.

A rare miss that one, just out of hospital in full leg brace and crutches for the first time. Poo weather sat on the couch got stoned and drank scotch.
Would of been a sight trying to jump that fence!

I was sitting in the scoreboard having a dart and drifted off to sleep, next thing I know I'm getting carted out by a firefighter.

Was standing underneath it having a smoke about two minutes before it started.....

Yep, had a great view of it too, from the club members section on the terrace in the Northern Stand.  People milled out onto the ground to avoid any trouble & then made their way back into the stands - several Carlscum supporters were trying to get off the ground by climbing over the fence in our area.  We pushed them back & even pushed them off the fence as they were trying to climb over, explaining that this is a Richmond members area & they couldn't come in!  They went away, wisely deciding that burning to death was better than taking on a whole bay of Richmond members!    ;D  :snidegrin
