Why do people keep saying Dusty is a midfielder?
Isn't it apparent by now that he's not fit enough? There is a reason he gets played on the flanks.
No tank.

Please stop saying he should play on the ball. Midfielders are expected to run all day both ways.
Dusty quite simply cannot so let's stop the charade.
Aren't elicit substances suppose to help you train harder.

He was a beast midfielder in his first 2 seasons, why has he gone backwards?

he should be fitter after 4-5 preseasons not worse off, somethings amiss with the way hes being prepared, whether that be the clubs directive or his own, i dont know

Would play VFL at a decent club. That's why no one wanted him. Can't believe we nearly got pick 2 & 20 off Melbourne for him.  :lol

Because even unfit he is best 22. I tell you what though I so drop him for his weak defensive efforts.

When was his last desperate tackle?
When were his last 2nd or 3rd efforts?
When did he last launch himself to smother the football?
Where is his desperation?

Footy is not just about when you have the ball Dustin.
I have said it before and I still believe it this bloke is a cancer in the club.

Exactly. He's not on his own but maybe dropping one of our "guns" for lack of effort would send a message to everyone that this crap isn't acceptable. Dropping Vickery certainly didn't fix it and we can't drop 15-18 blokes.

Carlton did this and put the blow torch on themselves.  Instead we come out and say we're better than last year.

They should put titties on the backs of opposition players, he would start to chase and tackle then

Dont' know when his last of any of the above where but would think if reckon they would be recently. Pretty sure I saw some 2nd & 3rd efforts last week up in brissie. Pretty sure I saw a tackle yesterday once he was put in the guts

As I said a bit hard to do any of the above when he is sitting down in the F50 and we are playing kick to kick followed by turnover in the Hawls F50

Martin’s big midfield ambition

Richmond young gun Dustin Martin has revealed his on-field aspirations in an exclusive interview with Tiger great Matthew Richardson on ‘Roar Vision’.

Martin, who embraced the challenge of being used in a different role across half-back early this year, and has also been in damaging form up forward, is setting his sights firmly on developing into an A-grade midfielder.

“I want to become one of the elite midfielders of the competition,” Martin declared.

The talented 22-year-old is fully aware of what he has to do to achieve his goal.

“I’ve just got to play very good footy on a consistent basis, and be well-rounded – offense, defence, tackles, all that kind of stuff,” he said.
