Dusty's best game in quite some time
Really??

I’ll take a look at the replay but watching it at the ground I only thought he was ok.

His best game to date is probably against hawthorn but having the ball in Dusty’s hand always makes me feel like we can start a scoring chain that results in a goal

Compared to what he's dished up the last month, he was good today, was at the game, thought he was very good

Just finished watching the replay.
He was pretty good.
Not his normal type of game but I guess he doesn’t have to be the dominating bull we are all use to.

Basically played his roll and did it well.

The slider

Dustin Martin

Pre-season ranking: 1
Current ranking: 11

He sets an incredibly high standard for himself, but the Tigers superstar is averaging his fewest number of contested possessions (9.9), clearances (4.4) and score involvements (6.6) since 2015.

Priming for a finals onslaught to rival that of his amazing 2017 finals campaign.  :shh

Nice to see some strength in the hips and a couple of stiff arms too. God I miss those

Dustin Martin has reached 30 disposals or more for the 60th time in his 219-game career, and added goal from outside 50 metres for good measure. He has delivered the ball inside 50 on 11 occasions, just one behind his personal best.

He’s back to his best at the moment. He’s not looking to stiff arm tacklers anymore, but rather cut through would be tacklers with his first few steps. He’s found his kicking boots as well 👍

Agreed, looking strong through the hips, agile, and has improved his inside mid work dramatically. Really stood up this year with Cotch being out and his wet weather footy is formidable.

Wonder what happened to the stiff arm though? I sure do miss it. I wonder if it's a confidence thing or if he's just been figured out?

I like that he uses the fend off more sparingly. I think his opponents expect him to put the arm out as first reaction to clear and hence everyone is trying to slap the arm before wrapping him up. Dusty has this hip strength which reminds me of vintage Dane Swan on when he would keep moving through a pack with power
