My biggest concern with him goes missing still to often.
Yep 5 games is too often

Chol very quiet indeed. Should be dropped.

Almost as quiet as you are on George...
I thought George was ok. He is obviously playing higher up the ground than previous years so he isn’t kicking as many goals, and like most of the small forwards, he is struggling for form.
But he is far from being dropped IMO.

I probably talk about George enough so I didn’t think I needed to again but obviously you did, so here you go.

What about you Willy, did anything offend you tonight?

Yes, I was offended by our forward 50 entries.

So George is struggling for form, yet far from being dropped?...

Interesting take.
Do you think George will get dropped this week?
What I find interesting is the coaches don’t seem to have the same opinion as some on here.
I’m especially interested in your thoughts now.

And I agree with you, the forward entries were terrible.

I think he was slightly better than in recent weeks but still had very little impact on the game.

He really hasn’t had much positive influence all year IMO.

So yes, I think he is very much in contention for being dropped.

Just because the coaches haven’t dropped him yet does not mean he isn’t close.

I would drop both him and Chol for Nank and Higgins/Caddy, personally.
Fair enough.
George’s last month has been poor and I have posted that last week, but last night he was better
IMO.
He might be close to being dropped and I guess we will never know, but he has plenty of teammates in the same boat. We have very few players playing at a decent consistent level.
Our smalls have struggled all year, Rioli has been dropped twice, Higgins is there now and Aarts has been down after having a great start to his career.
I don’t think the shorter quarters are helping and I don’t think training less in between games is helping either.
These guys need to be 100% with their touch and their skill, as they generally don’t get too many opportunities.

At least we agree on Chol.

Replaces Lynch at Full Forward with 5 minutes each quarter in the ruck.
Not good at tap work but will balance it out as an extra on-baller.
Pointless anyway as the Adelaide ruck (O'Brien?) will win a lot of tap-outs regardless.

Poor tonight my biggest worry no intensity goes missing even tackling and pressure was off not reliable.Better of with Broad doing his role you get a contest atleast or a Miller.

It seemed that in contested marking situations he had been instructed to just bring it to ground

I think they mean if you don’t mark it, at least bring it to ground- not don’t try and mark it.

He might still play because he’s the only suitable back up ruck we have but he didn’t do himself any favours with that performance.

Needs to really work on his marking over the summer, it’s really holding him back.

He clunked heaps of marks last week against VFL standard opponents. Unfortunately I think that is his level.
3 touches and 2 hit outs tonight.

I said when soldo did his acl that the path was clear for him now. All he needed to do was stay involved, be competitive and take his chances. While he didn’t necessarily get out marked, he dropped far too many he should have clunked.

Mabs just needed to show intensity at the contests and do the basics well. Didn't do either. Going one-handed for marks is schoolboy stuff. Sure he held onto one which lead to his goal but it's low percentage.
