Karma says hi Pommies :shh.

Not really in the spirit of the game but when you've cheated out of a dismissal the day before, don't expect any favours from the opposition when you switch off and walk out of your crease before the call of over.

Lol
What a load of rubbish
Interesting when Nathan Lyon comes out in support of it being the correct decision

As for the Bairstow dismissal .. ranks with mankads in spirit of the game discussions .. but stiff poo Johnny, off you go .. but to think Starc’s catch decision played any role is laughable
And Glenn McGrath called the not out decision a "disgrace".

Just like the AFL, former players can be openly honest and critical unlike current players who have to toe the line.

Yep
And plenty have rightly called out Glenn McGrath for being wrong and needing to learn the rules of the game

Below should help explain

Two wrongs don't make a right. That was a clean catch too. What's the bowler meant to do in that situation when he is diving forward? Smash his face into the turf so his hands don't hit the ground? :facepalm

Robinson now gone. Smith holds onto this one in the outfield. Two to go.

All over. Eng 327 all out.

Aussies win by 43 runs.

Who would have thought bowling at the stumps would get some wickets…..

Really did their best keeping England in it and dragging it out with that ridiculous amount of short bowling.

Anyway, 2 down, 1 to go.

Poms still whinging because they lost again  :nopity.

Stokes batted amazingly today but his speech post-game was sour grapes sooking about fair play.

Starc takes a clean catch but given not out .... Poms: "It's the rules of the game".

Bairstow walks out of his crease and run out .... Poms: "Game should be about fair play. Aussies are cheats".

Always got to love Pommie hypocrisy :stupid  :rollin.

Usman Khawaja was pulled back by security after speaking to one the members inside the long room 😳

🗣️ "I've NEVER seen scenes like that!"

VISION: https://twitter.com/SkyCricket/status/1675482014475079680

I was in the Long Room and heard the racist abuse being directed to Usman Khawaja who is one of the nicest and humble of players. He was absolutely justified to confront the racist MCC member. I'm an England fan but some of those members were an absolute disgrace.

https://twitter.com/plaistowjames1/status/1675541227947556865

Usman Khawaja pretty expansive about Long Room incident in the post-match interview with Channel 9 - said there were some ‘pretty big allegations’ thrown out, the members were very disrespectful, their conduct was disappointing, and that he pointed a few out to authorities.

https://twitter.com/RudiEdsall/status/1675524906048720901

Usman Khawaja: “Some of the stuff coming out of members’ mouths was really disappointing. I wasn’t going to standby and cop it. A few of them were throwing out some pretty big allegations and if they kept going, well it’s your membership. I expect a lot better from the members.”

I was called a legend and arrogant within an hour by some tosser. Pre and post stokes wicket  :lol

They make me laugh that mob.

Seriously Bairstow is so crap and has to be unfit. If he actually delivered you would feel a tad sorry for him, but the test was lost amongst a few other things with his terrible form yesterday. Couldn't care less about his previous injury. If playing your fit. Simple.

Wish I could go to headingly but I suspect I have run out of leave passes.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Bit hypocritical of the Poms sooking about the Bairstow dismissal

When last year on 6 June at the same venue against NZ Ollie Pope ran out deGrandholme in a similar manner because silly Colin went wandering out of his crease. They didn't withdraw their appeal for that one

So why is this different?

I agree it is not in the spirit of the game but there's alot that goes on these days that isn't in the spirit of the game.

But Bairstow has done what Caery did numerous times but we don't hear boo. When  he does albeit not successfully is that in the spirit of the game?

Neither of them are wrong

It’s the rule!!!

It isn’t cheating and it isn’t correct

I’m not saying I love the rule , but it’s the rule, and both decisions are 100% correct

Calling it cheating is laughable
